#FixingGhanaTogather: Akyem Aboabo Folks Fix Community Roads, Gutters With No Gov’t Support [Photos]

The people of Akyem Aboabo in the Birim Central Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Akyem Aboabo Royals Association have started fixing their town’s road gutters which have been abandoned by contractors.

According to them, a contractor was assigned to fix the road and its gutters yet abandoned it in a short while after digging them which posed high accidental threats to the community.

Speaking with Ahenkan FM reporter, Kwabena Akim, they related that the delay by the government had worried them so they re-organized and decided to fix it themselves.

They urged that, other nearby towns should try to emulate what they are doing for their community and not depend solely on politicians who might end up disappointing them woefully.

They thanked the leaders of the Akyem Aboabo royals association especially its organizer, Odi Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah for supporting them to be able to start works on the gutters.

The Unit Committee Member of the town, K. Brako also added that they are very happy and grateful for the move initiated by the Akyem Aboabo Royals Association to develop the community.
