GPLwk 13: Great Olympics Submerged Oda Kotoku Royals 2-0

Samuel Abbey Ashie-Quaye and Aryeetey Ayikwei struck rare Ghana Premier League goals as Great Olympics submerged Kotoku Royals 2-0 on the south coast.

Olympics dominated in every area of the field as the Dade Boys mix of mastery soccer play coupled with artistic midfield display buffeted Kotoku off their stride all afternoon, Amos Acheampong bossed the midfield to win the Man of the Match, was unfortunate to end the day without a goal.

Ashie-Quaye (29th minute) and Ayikwei (76th minute goal) moved Oly Dade to the 7th spot and left Kotoku floundering in 18th with a meager 7 points.

The tactical confusion on the side of Kotoku which has bedeviled the Akim-Oda club need no telling that this defeat – and the curiously supine performance – leaves them heavily flirting with a relegation battle.
