GPLwk12: Aduana Stars Humiliates Oda Kotoku Royals To Plausibly Seal Top-spot

Aduana Stars stunned and condemned Kotoku Royals to their ninth defeat of the season, beating the latter by two goals to nil on an emotionally charged afternoon at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Emmanuel Gyamfi and Stephen Anokye Badu scored first-half (17th, 45+3’ minute) goals. Anokye Badu’s 25 meters direct free kick goal brought the home fans to their feet in a rip-roaring chant as they beamed in ecstasy and kept shouting their famous ‘Ogya’ slogan.

This afternoon’s result handed Kotoku a bad morale as they languished in 18th with just 7 points on the log.

Aduana, which is away to Karela on match day 13 fixture on Sunday, is four points ahead of second-placed Asante Kotoko and five points clear of third-placed Hearts, giving the Ogya Boys a superior upper hand as they dazzle in the top pecking on the summit.

Kotoku will next take on the ailing Great Olympics on match day 13 at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday, January 15.
