Bechem United livewire, Augustine Okrah has been named Black Stars 33 man squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers and Kirin Cup tournament which comes up early next month.
The 28-year-old after joining the Haunters has been a kingpin for the side in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
The 28-year-old has scored 13 goals in 29 appearances for Bechem United and won several man-of-the-match awards.
The speedster is also the third on the top-scoring chat and has four in the FA Cup, having scored a belter in the semi-final against Aduana Stars to book a place in the FA Cup.
Okrah alongside Hearts of Oak’s Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is the only local players to be included in the just-announced squad.
Ghana will face Madagascar on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, before they face the Central African Republic in their next game.
They will travel to Japan afterward for the Kirin Cup- a preparatory tournament for all four nations ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
