Kudus Mohammed Out Of Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Against South Africa And Ethiopia

Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam have confirmed that Ghana midfielder Kudus Mohammed will be unavailable for the next three weeks, which means he will miss Black Stars’ 2022 FIFA World Cup matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
Ajax coach Erik ten Hag has disclosed that Kudus Mohammed will return to full action after three weeks which automatically has ruled him out of the two matches.
The 21-year-old suffered an ankle injury in Ajax’s pre-season friendly against Anderlecht and still recovering from the injury for the past weeks.
Erik ten Hag said the Red and White lads will be travel out to face Vitesse Arnhem without the 21-year-old midfielder and will be expected to return to the turf in the after twenty-one (21) days.
The Ghana international is yet to make his season’s debut for Ajax after missing out in their last two Eredivisie matches against FC Twente and NEC Nijmegen
Kudus was named in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa announced by Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor last week despite being injured as they were hoping he would be fit before the two matches.
The former Right to Dream Academy star was one of Black Stars’ key players during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Kudus scored that decisive goal against South Africa in Johannesburg that qualified the Black Stars to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Cameroon next year.
