Stephen Amankona Calls For Asante Kotoko

Captain of Berekum Chelsea Stephen Amankona has expressed his fulfilling love for Asante Kotoko and given wholeheartedly his time and availability to don the red jersey in the upcoming season.

Asante Kotoko have been lively on the transfer market where they’ve, thus far, completed the signing of seven players to invigorate their squad before the transfer deadline in October. The “Porcupine Warriors” are looking forward for more signings especially at the position where they fall deficit from last season’s performance at the wings and the likelihood of many established player leaving the club   The 21-year-old has given himself out for a possible transfer to the Kumasi-based side in what he sees, will be a step further in his playing career.

In an interview with Fox FM in Kumasi, the enterprising winger explains what has kept his transfer incomplete from Berekum Chelsea to Asante Kotoko.   “I am ready to play for Asante Kotoko but it has left with the onward transfer fee; Chelsea want 30% but Kotoko is willing to offer 15%.”

Amankona said.   “Kotoko is very dear to my heart, I want to come and serve Asanteman. I am very eager to come and play for Asanteman.”

“Personal term and transfer fee is not a problem for now, I’m really pushing for this deal to happen. The faith that Kotoko has in me, I want to come and repay it.”   “Right now, I’m only waiting for Nana Yaw Amponsah to call me to come to Kumasi,” he completed.
